I've pretty well documented my family's love for the new Kinect for Xbox 360 throughout the past year (here and here for instance). I've also found myself talking and sharing the Kinect experience with friends, neighbors and people around town everyday. So if you've been getting excited about it watching the commercials and hearing the news about Kinect for Xbox 360 being sold out of pre-orders and whatnot, I'm geeked about my news. Suffice it to say that if you're bummed that you haven't won one in one of the various contests and giveaway promotions across the web, or haven't yet won through Burger King's Kinect contest where they pick one winner every 15 minutes . . . or maybe you're just stressing out about how to buy THE hottest gift this holiday season?
Perhaps I can help you become the hero of your holiday celebration here at Coast to Coast Mom. Wha??? Yup.
Right. Here.
Microsoft Xbox has offered me an Xbox 360 with Kinect bundle for one of my readers/viewers! Starting right now, leave me a comment sharing what you're looking forward to doing with your friends and Kinect for Xbox 360, along the lines of:
· Would you throw the Kinect Play Party to end all Kinect parties in your home? or
· What games are you most looking forward to playing with your family and friends? or
· Maybe you know what kind of food you'll serve when you have friends over to play?
Just share your thoughts in the comment box below telling me what you're looking forward to doing if you win the Kinect for Xbox 360 bundle. You may want to check out Kinect on Facebook and "like" them for more ideas on how to host your own Kinect Play Party!
The prize consists of a newly designed 4GB Xbox 360, a Kinect sensor and a full-game disc of “Kinect Adventures," which is full of fun games for the whole family.
One entry per comment on this post, and a maximum of two entries per person during the contest period (That's right, I'm breaking my own Coast to Coast Mom rule and allowing everyone two chances to win!! Because I know a good party idea may strike you after you've already submitted your entry comment. ;-)). Contest ends Monday, December 13th at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) ET and I will choose the winner via Random.org by 12:30 p.m. ET Monday, December 13, 2010. Make sure to include your email address or blog/site URL so I have a way to contact the winner. I really can't wait to make someone's holiday!! GOOD LUCK!!!

@dwaynesgirl78
I would love to win the Kinect my son has the oldest xbox there is and no other game system. He had a wii but got laid off after he had it 1 week and had to sell it. I would love to have a pizza party from him and his friends to enjoy the great interactive games that XBOX Kinect has created. Thanks for the opportunity.

I think we'd throw an epic party. Move the furniture out of the living room for more room and invite all our friends over. It would be so awesome to have a game system even my 6 year old can play without getting mixed up about what buttons to press! I'd make cookies and nachos (they really do go well together, I promise) and just have an awesome time with family and friends. :D

I would host a zumba kinect party and definitively invite some friends over. I love zumba as is already I can just imagine how much fun it'd be with the kinect. I really hope I win.

This is an awesome Giveaway! I can't wait to have a Kinect Exercise event! It would be awesome to do a fitness meet up with friends and not have to use controllers and accessories etc. Also looking forward to dancing games and games I can play with the family! *crosses fingers*

If I won the Kinect, I'd most look forward to playing it with my kids!
Posted by: Jacquie | After Words | November 24, 2010 at 02:01 PM
If my family won the XBOX Kinect - the games we are most excited about are:
1) Kinectimals for my 2 1/2 year old - I can already see the smile on his face watching the animals do what he does! Plus I host a mom & toddlers lunch once a month -so all his friends will also have fun!
2) Dance Central & DanceMasters for my 9 year old. Our house has become the hang-out and now all her friends will have another reason to come over! I can already hear their 9 year old giggly girls laughter!
3) My husband would play motion sports with the kids (pretending he's teaching them) when he's really having fun, too!
4) I'd love to try the Zumba - maybe I can get some of the other mothers to join me!
We currently have an old GAMECUBE as our gaming system - and granted they all have fun playing crash bandicoot and mario - BUT THE XBOX KINECT would be TOTALLY AWESOME!

The boys would absolutely DIE if this ended up under the tree. The first thing I'd imagine we'd do is invite their buddies over for a Kinect playdate and it would center around Harry Potter. We would make all kinds of magical treats like Butterbeer (sans booze, of course) and couldron cakes.
Posted by: Melissa | November 24, 2010 at 02:20 PM
I'd invite you over for a Dance Central dance-off. =}
Posted by: Christy | November 24, 2010 at 03:01 PM
I'm looking forward to the constant movement I would get from each and every game there is for the Kinect and hopefully burning up a lot of calories. Especially with winter coming, this will be great indoor exercise.

I would love to have a dance party with the dance central!
Posted by: Michelle M | November 24, 2010 at 05:37 PM
i would also like to have my gym buddies over to try the zumba game

My house use to be the house for parties but it's been a while since I started school again. What a great way to relax during my time off with family and friends. I love games that everyone can be a part of two. The more interactive the better. I've been very impressed with what Kinect has to offer and I know the husband already is wishing for one. I have it on our future christmas list as my poor student butt doesn't have any money right now but FREE is always better! Happy Holidays!

If I won this, I'd look forward to making a fool out of myself trying to figure it out in front of my husband and daughter! ;)
Great contest Heidi!

I'm turning 40 in mid-December and throwing a Kinect party would be a great way to kick off my 40's!

I am looking forward to having the Ultimate family gaming night with Hubby and four kids. The Kinect looks like a blast.
Really want to try the your shape as well.

I would LOVE to win the awesome Kinect! I would throw THE best birthday party (way overdue) for my son and invite all his friends and make it an XBOX Kinect party theme!
Thank you for this GREAT giveaway.
Posted by: sandra k. | November 28, 2010 at 08:38 PM
let's be honest - as soon as you turn on the kinect it's an automatic party! But, I'm thinking a mid-winter, shake your booty, cabin fever party would be in order. With a Dance Central dance off of course!
Posted by: Rebecca Levey | November 28, 2010 at 08:47 PM
I'm looking forward to not having to say to everyone before they play to remember to put your wrist strap on so we don't throw the remotes - NO REMOTES WITH KINECT! Happy Dance!!! No dead batteries, no one fighting over the best remote, no more attaching different parts to the remotes. Happy Dance!

I would love to win the 360 and the kinect. My Wii is dying and this would make deciding whether to buy a new one easy. I would love to be able to dance and get some exercise in while enjoying myself. Plus I would be the biggest hero to my kids. so pick me:)

I look forward to being introduced to an xbox 360 Kinect for the Holidays. What fun that would be not to mention the great exercise. My exercise would be dancing, laughing and running to the bathroom. Pick me. . .Pick me. . .Pick me!

oo, having a Kinect would definitely make for a good time at a Christmas party with friends and family!
Posted by: Yuri | November 29, 2010 at 01:08 PM
For my second entry I think the REAL party would be to send the kids to my in-laws and invite the grown ups over to play! With cocktails, naturally!
Posted by: Melissa | November 29, 2010 at 09:01 PM
Would this be fun at school or what...I teach health and p.e. to elementary students and we could use this throughout the whole day with everyone. This also would be fun for an awesome staff development gathering. We have such awesome administrators that support physical activity and this would be such an added bonus and utilized A LOT!

If I won the Xbox Kinect system I would use it to get my family movin' this winter. Our children are 7 & 5 and love to get their dance on!

If I won the Xbox Kinect system, I would host a neighborhood 'get to know the new neighbors' party, since we recently moved here. What a great ice-breaker for me & my husband and our 2 kids to really get to know everyone!

My grandsons (ages 5 and 7) would love Kinect for Christmas. They have been good boys all year!
Posted by: Ruthann | November 30, 2010 at 10:59 AM
Kinect would be a great motivation for me to exercise!
Posted by: Ruthann | November 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM
I'm looking forward to spending some time with my kids over the holidays -- if we win the Kinect bundle, it will be even more fun, and I will look forward to trouncing my husband in every game we play! Thanks for the great giveaway!
Posted by: bonggamom | November 30, 2010 at 01:41 PM
Oh I have big plans to lose some weight with the workout games!
Posted by: xiaolinmama | November 30, 2010 at 01:44 PM
I personally would love to exercise with this, but I can only imagine what my three kids would do. I think they would love the active games.
Posted by: Stimey | November 30, 2010 at 01:47 PM
If I win, I would gift the Xbox 360 Kinect bundle to my brother in Pennsylvania and we would bring the party to HIS house!
Posted by: Amy M. | November 30, 2010 at 02:14 PM
Kinect would be a great addition to our frugal birthday parties we throw at home! (we have 4 coming up soon!)
Posted by: Kelly Whalen | November 30, 2010 at 02:44 PM
Of course we will make a big kinect-ed party! My kids and their friends are welcome!
Posted by: Natalia | November 30, 2010 at 04:45 PM
We are looking forward to play Star Wars game on Kinect.
Posted by: John | November 30, 2010 at 04:47 PM
Our neighborhood would have such a blast with this! We love doing things together. And I can't think of a better way to pass these long dark winter nights than hanging out with family and friends in our great room, playing together. There will be food. (There's always food.) Fun and laughter, too.
Mmm, to dream...
Posted by: Nicki | November 30, 2010 at 08:37 PM
Finally a game my "elderly parents" can play with me:)And that's exactly what I'd do with this- if I won- set it up in my living room and invite the grandparents over to play games with my kids- oh the HEAVEN that would ensue (especially on the part of my kids) would be simply put... PRICELESS! Thanks for such a great giveaway!
Posted by: melissa Chapman | November 30, 2010 at 09:41 PM
I'd love to have a moms night party with the Kinect, but who am I kidding? The kids would never give me a chance. So any mom party I had would involve lots of wine and cheese, while we chatted and the kids showed us how to play.
Posted by: julie | November 30, 2010 at 10:19 PM
Oh my, our family would wear this out!
I think the most played by the guys would be Joy Ride. They spend the whole winter 'bench racing' so this would get them up off the couch and give them something else to talk smack over. :)
I, like some of the other Mommas, would like Zumba...how cool would that be?! I know we gained a few more pounds trying to win a Kinect through a well known food chain and we could really stand some activity..scratch that...some FUN activity to burn it off and then some.
I think we're all getting the winter blahs already. I know this would make everybody flip out to see this come to our house. :) I don't think you'd have a boring day if you had one. We've never even had an Xbox period so this would really be a hit and I think we'd get alot more company over too.
Thank you so much for the chance, I'm so anxious!

My wife might actually go for this if we got the Dance Central game. Would love to throw a big party with family and friends and watch each other dance like crazy idiots. Kids would love it too. Would probably serve up some Ruffles with Ranch dip. Awesome.
Posted by: Mason | December 01, 2010 at 02:05 AM
Actually, my son's birthday is in December and his big sister is taking dance lessons. On second thought, we'd invite all of his friends and cousins over for a party with soda and popcorn (his favorites) and let 'em rip with Joyride or Sports. You really would be the holiday hero. Thanks for hosting this giveaway. Would be really fun to win this.
Posted by: Mason | December 01, 2010 at 02:11 AM
my kids act like they are animals all the time so they are really hoping to get kinectimals. i have tried to tell them daddy has to get a job before we buy an xbox. maybe now they won't have to wait!

What a breakthrough in Exergaming! I would use this XBOX 360 Kinect bundle for the kids at my elementary school. We have one in use now, and 2 would give more of our kids exposure to the joy of exergaming. It's a super product and thanks for the opportunity!
Posted by: Kyle Uramkin | December 01, 2010 at 03:01 PM
My wife made me enter this and I do everything she says. Now THAT's a party!
Posted by: Paul | December 02, 2010 at 09:53 AM
The boys would want to play Star Wars, but I'd love to go a few rounds with the wife playing Fighters Uncaged. She's a feisty one and I'm pretty sure she could take me.
Posted by: Paul | December 02, 2010 at 09:56 AM
I want to exercise with it. Post holiday weight gain and all. I've tried it and I love it!
