Considering the near monsoon that hit us last week, it was like divine intervention when we awoke Saturday morning to a clear blue sky and sunshine - which is only fitting as we were spending Saturday with the other Blogging Angels and their families. It was such a marvelous fall day at Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture in Pocantico Hills, New York.
Li'l Boo had the opportunity to do so many fun things there on Saturday. I laughed when I saw the Chipotle Corn (Salsa) Hole game, which Li'l Boo remembered playing at Grandma and Grandpa's in Michigan.
The kiddo even collected eggs from a chicken coop - something that eventhough I've lived in rural areas, have never done myself.
He also surprised us with how much he knew about worms and composting at the family workshop on building your own worm compost. He was enamored with the worms.
One of my favorite photos from the day, though, was this one of c2cDad and Li'l Boo enjoying a completely entertaining performance by the Story Pirates. It was a packed house in the covered barn, so I sat at the other end of the bleachers and nabbed this picture.
