I just noticed The Mama Maven's post about joining as a PBS Kids VIP, and realized that I haven't yet shared the good news! :-) I'm excited to share that I've been invited to join a group of parent bloggers getting an inside look at PBS Kids content, creators, leaders and stations as a PBS Kids VIP!!
I've been fortunate to have enjoyed some TERRIFIC experiences with PBS in the past, from moderating a "Cyberchase" talk-back panel, to being a PBS 13 Kids Club ambassador, to meeting Angela Santomero and getting an inside look at the development of "Super WHY," and meeting Dr. Scott from "Dinosaur Train!" I handily credit PBS Kids programming for supplementing and reinforcing the Kiddo's intellectual and social development as we've lived and traveled across the country.
Some of the things that I'll be privy to this year and am excited to learn more about to share with everyone:
- March 2nd's "The Cat in the Hat-a-Thon" on local PBS stations
- June 15th's "Super WHY Around the World Adventure"
- August "Dinosaur Train" special
- The debut of "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood," the new series inspired by the legacy of Fred Rogers
- November holiday special featuring "The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!"
I'm honored to join these other crafty, creative, and education-oriented parents:
