We love traveling - and frequently do so for both work and for play (and a little of both when we can get away with it). One of the bigger hassles when traveling is having to take a laptop with me - many people I know just leave theirs at home or at the office.
For me, a laptop enables me to be as productive as possible - whether that's replying to email or recently that meant finding restaurant reservations at the Universal Orlando CityWalk. There's some things that are better done with a fully functioning laptop instead of my phone or a tablet - and the Intel 2 in 1 has been one of the best products I've seen yet to help me do that.
Surviving the flight
My trips usually start by finding myself crammed into my tiny airplane seat for hours on end, unless of course I've been upgraded to first class, but let's be practical. On flights longer than two hours, it's a great chance to be productive, either for work or last minute vacation planning details and I'll frequently get online at 30,000 feet.
Trying to type on a full size laptop just doesn't work (and I can't tell you how many times my laptop screen has been nearly snapped in half by the person in front of me throwing their seat back to recline). These days I see more people on their iPads and smartphones, but there's only so much I can do on mine. Having a small portable laptop has been fantastic, and the touchscreen and convertible nature of the Intel 2 in 1, even better. It makes getting work done a lot less stressful, particularly in tablet mode and I elbow people (and get elbowed) a lot less.
Productivity at the hotel and on the go
While I tend to spend very little time at the hotel during business trips as I'm on the go or at conferences, having a laptop that I can use during the day that I can easily slip into my purse is a must-have. It's not that I can't use my iPhone (as I'm frequently tweeting and posting on Facebook), but when it comes to actual work or taking notes, it's far easier when you have a light, portable laptop at your disposal.
During vacations, it's a whole different story - it's what I use to plan our day, sit out at the pool (the screen is bright enough that the glare isn't that bad when using the Intel 2 in 1 outside) or on the hotel balcony, and review pictures of our trip each and every day to post online, the touch screen is perfect for swiping through hundreds of photos and video.
Since we're running around all day and often miss catching our favorite shows back in the hotel room - it's a great go to device when it's time to kick back and relax - the tablet mode of the Intel 2 in 1 is amazing for this, as we'll connect to the hotel WiFi and stream shows that we missed the night before.
